Professor Mark Williams is leader of the Product Evaluation Technologies (PET) Research group in WMG at the University of Warwick. Mark has worked within a wide range of industries as a Dimensional Control consultant and was employed at Jaguar Land Rover up until 2003 when he joined Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG). Whilst at WMG, Mark project managed the Craftsmanship project on the PARD programme, which resulted in significant industrial impact including 60 business assisted, 1000 jobs safeguarded, 20M process value add, and 5M additional R&D investment. He is currently Principal Investigator on a diverse portfolio of research projects funded by the Technology Strategy Board (TSB), European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), Advantage West Midlands (AWM), and EPSRC within the Automotive, Healthcare and Defence industries. These projects are working with a number of industrial partners including Tata Motors, JLR, TVS Motor Co, Bentley Motors, Autodesk, Nikon Metrology, Arup, and HoloVis. Mark's current research interests include Human Machine Interface (HMI), Digital Prototyping, Perceived Quality and Dimensional Control and has recently established a new 5M Metrology centre of excellence within WMG.
Over 10 years’ experience in automotive R&D, with specific expertise and publications in the fields of immersive design visualisation, human machine interface evaluation, and quality inspection and metrology. Dr Attridge currently manages WMG’s metrology and visualisation Centre of Excellence and a number of R&D projects with industrial partners.
Project Engineer with a strong background in advanced metrology systems and new product development. Expertise in non-contact measurement systems, laser scanning as well as quality assessment. Particular applications novel methods to the address the measurement requirements and reverse engineering.
Research Engineer with a background in perceived quality and User Experience, with a specific focus on automotive user interfaces. Currently undertaking an Engineering Doctorate project using simulated driving environments to investigate the design and implementation of configurable displays from a user-centred perspective.
Research Fellow with a strong background in physics and mathematics. Expertise in modelling of dynamical systems as well as non-destructive evaluation using X-ray micro Computed Tomography. Particular applications include reverse engineering, simulation and defect detection.
Dr Glen Turley
Senior Research fellow with a background in Metrology within both Research and Industry. Expertise in applying this engineering knowledge in the aerospace, automotive and healthcare sectors. Current work focuses upon computer assisted surgery and total joint replacement.
