Ferdinando Vitolo received his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering (cum laude) from the University of Naples Federico II (Italy), in 2012. He discussed a thesis titled: geometric-functional and interactive modeling of automotive manual gearboxes based on the graph theory. From 2012 to 2014 he has collaborated with the University of Naples Federico II on the National Project: “Digital Pattern Product Development; a pattern driven approach for industrial product design, simulation and manufacturing”.
Currently, he is a Ph.D. student in Industrial Engineering at the University of Naples Federico II. Here, he is also Research Assistant working on EPICES project. Furthermore he is staff member of IDEAS LAB (www.ideas.unina.it). His major research interests are focused on Mechanical design, advanced CAD modeling, Mechatronics systems, Object Oriented programming, Measurement.
