BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Mien Van received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Danang University of Technology, Da Nang, Vietnam, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree from the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Ulsan, Ulsan, South Korea, in 2015. He was a Research Fellow with the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Advanced Robotics Centre, Faculty Engineering, National University of Singapore, Singapore. Since 2016, he has been a Research Fellow with WMG, University of Warwick, Coventry, U.K. He has co-authored over 25 international journal and conference papers and some has been published in a number of flagship journals, including the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INDUSTRIAL INFORMATICS, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON CYBERNETICS, IEEE TRANSACTIOS ON INSTRUMENT and MEASUREMENT, and IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON SYSTEMS, MAN and CYBERNETICS: SYSTEMS. His current research interests include robot control, fault diagnosis and fault tolerant, machine learning, robot-vision system, and sensing and perception.
