Success Story: Remote Laser Welding (RLW)
Selected by the EU as a success story for outstanding research with industrial relevance
RLW Navigator began as a three year, €3.9million project funded by the European Commission under the ICT-Factories of the Future programme. Co-ordinated by Professor Darek Ceglarek, the project aimed to develop an engineering platform for emerging joining technology from the automotive industry, Remote Laser Welding (RLW), that would enable the exploitation of RLW and ultimately support other joining processes.
