BIOGRAPHY
Gerardo Beruvides graduated with a BSc (cum laude) in Mechanical Engineering, in 2010, and a MD in Computer Aided Engineering, in 2012, from the University of Matanzas (Cuba). He worked as an Assistant Professor in the University of Matanzas from 2010 to 2014. Nowadays, he has a PhD full scholarship in Centre for Automation and Robotic of Madrid. His research interests focus on the modeling and optimization of machining and micromachining processes and applied artificial intelligence. In 2015, he made a foreign stay Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology (IPK), in the group of micro-production supervised by the professor Ph.D. Eckart Uhlmann from August 30th to November 28th, Fraunhofer, Berlin, Germany. He has published several papers on these topics and is a member of the reviewer board of few international journals.
