BIOGRAPHY
Mr Ken Asare is a PhD student at the Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) of the University of Warwick. Ken’s research interest is mainly on cost estimation at the early design stage of a new product development. As part of his research work, he models processes and systems of manufacturing environments for digital simulation purposes. Before joining the Digital Lifecycle Management (DLM) group of Warwick University for his research studies, he had worked in industry as Engineering Project Engineer, Business Improvement Consultant and a sessional Lecturer at Henley College Coventry. In 2008, he acquired his degree in MSc Programme and Project Management at WMG in the University of Warwick. Prior to that he attained BSc in Industrial Engineering at Coventry University in 2007. He is a member of The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Project Management Institute (PMI), Association of Project Management (APM) and other charitable organisations. He is a regular presenter for CATDEC program, a collaborative workshop between WMG and China Aerospace department. He has presented at the 47th CIRP in Canada, Factory of the Future (FoF 2015) in Sheffield University, Annual Students Conference at the University of Warwick and many seminars within WMG. He has published a paper in CIRP proceeding and has other collaborative research papers to be published soon.
