Selim Yilmazer was awarded his BSc in Mechanical Engineering at Black Sea Technical University, Turkey, in 2010. Then he joined the University of Warwick in September 2011 for his MSc studies. He studied Manufacturing Systems Engineering at WMG in 2012. He joined the Digital Lifecycle Management Group to undertake his Master's dissertation as part of the Remote Laser Welding Navigator Project. Currently, Selim works as Project Engineer as a member of Digital Lifecycle Management Group.
Selim conducted Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis and automobile engine design as completion studies for Mechanical Engineering. He focused on fixture design optimisation for sheet metal assembly processes with Remote Laser Welding for his Master's dissertation including Finite Element Modelling and Optimisation. His current work focuses on Robust Fixture Design for Remote Laser Welding processes in autobody manufacturing.
