3D scanning allows the detailed examination of products, heritage specimens, legacy parts for reverse engineering, material characterisation, forensic examination and preservation. Laser scanning, X-ray Computed Tomography and Photogrammetry are technologies/process used by the Group.
Applied visualisation encompasses a range of visual and in some cases, multi-modal communication technologies, including virtual and augmented reality. The Group utilises a range of media from portable/wearable technologies, through to large displays and projection systems. We aim to improve the communication of and interaction with digital data from a variety of sources, including scanned/ captured and digitally created.
Our multi-disciplinary research team aims to provide real-world solutions for various business sectors, from automotive engineering to the medical industry by providing their expertise in Metrology, 3D Scanning and Visualisation.
We combine our expertise in materials forensics and characterisation to assist a range of sectors, from automotive to the health care industry. Ensuring the latest technologies for product evaluation are implemented in a practical and creative way, to cut cost and add value.
