Our work includes projects that range from multi-party, outcome-based contracts for Rolls-Royce engines to the Ministry of Defence, integrated technology projects at the forefront of computing and legal innovation like the Hub of All Things personal data ecosystem, and complex service and logistics contracts delivering a bank of flying hours for Tornado or Typhoon jets.
The cross-disciplinary commonalities in service ecosystems innovation contribute to their complexity. Our research involves four main knowledge bases:
· Business models of the firm
· Human behaviour in the system
· Economic models of the system
· Technology and engineering of products, platforms, and software
Together, they are entities within a system that, in one way or another, provide a service i.e. A competency into the system (we subscribe to the Service-Dominant Logic definition of service) so that the system functions viably.
