After doing a degree in Geography at Durham University and a period of social work in London, Nigel Prentice started teaching English to non-native speakers in 1981. He worked in Italy and France for five years, and then specialised in teaching business professionals. In 1991-92 he took the MSc Teaching English (for Special Purposes) at Aston University, Birmingham. He has worked at the University of Warwick since 1994, teaching a great variety of non-English speakers, ranging from a Vice Chancellor to many undergraduates. He covers all language skills related to academic study, in all possible fields, and also delivers content-based lectures and seminars on many aspects of British culture, politics and society.
