As our department is research-orientated, students have many opportunities to research any area of interest we may hold. The Centre for Applied Linguistics offers ample opportunities to further your research and, with the help of Warwick University’s research schemes, you can even get given money to do so. One student even received money to travel to Berlin!
Research projects range from romantic cross-cultural relationships to young people's perceptions of tattoos. If you would like to research a topic area related to a potential career to boost your knowledge, the choice is all yours.
The department provides you with the skill set needed to conduct research projects from your first year so the research process should be smooth. If there are any issues, staff are always happy to help.
