Pre-Sessional English Programme - Phases 4, 5 - Application Form

From Tuesday 23rd May 2017 you will only be able to apply for and pay for Pre-sessional Courses if you are using the latest version of one of the following Internet browsers: Internet Explorer 11, Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Opera. [Check latest versions of internet browsers]. If you are using Internet Explorer versions 8, 9 or 10 it is possible to configure them to work with this website, but but it is still better to upgrade to IE 11.

Due to recent changes (April 2015) to the Secure English Language Tests for use in a UK visa application, if you require a Tier 4 visa to study in the UK, please first check your eligibility for a CAS - CAS Eligibility Flowchart before making an application for the Pre-sessional English Programme. More information can be found at

Please follow this link if you want to find out if you are qualified to join the Pre-sessional Programme: General English Requirement or for WMG Courses use this guide: WMG English Requirement

Course Dates

Phase 4 - (10 weeks): 9 July - 14 Sept 2018

Phase 5 - (6 weeks): 6 Aug - 14 Sept 2018

please note that to attend phases 4/5 or 5 you must hold an offer from the University of Warwick to do your main degree.

Please note: Attending a pre-sessional programme does not automatically exempt you from the requirement to achieve a minimum score in IELTS to undertake your degree programme. Please ensure that you have been informed by your department or the PG admissions team that you can take the phase 4/5 pre-sessional programme before applying. If you have already achieved the IELTS score required for your degree programme but would like to undertake the pre-sessional programme to receive extra exposure to academic English before your degree starts, then we would also welcome applications from such candidates
NB Applications must be received by the University at least 4 weeks before the start of the phase required. Late applications will not be processed.
