In the course of the TELRI project at Warwick , more than 85 courses were implemented across a range of discipline areas and in 15 institutions, using research oriented approaches to learning that develop students’ higher order cognitive capabilities, and using ICT.
Following completion of this project, transferability funding was made available to enable exploration of strategies and processes for embedding successful project approaches with a view to wider implementation across institutions. The additional work has extended the work of the TELRI project, broadening its primary focus upon uptake among individual lecturers by investigating potential solutions to operational, educational and technological issues. CEDAR’s remit is to explore views of stakeholders at an institutional level, to enable the development of models of effective operational approaches which can be widely shared both at institution and national planning level.
