FOLLOW UP EVALUATION OF THE HEADS YOU WIN PROJECT

Directors: Jim Campbell and Geoff Lindsay
With: Emma Martineau

As an initial follow-up of the Heads You Win project, CEDAR has gathered information on the perceived impact which the project had on pupils. An initial questionnaire survey of headteachers generated a largely positive response, indicating to us that in many cases projects had been expanded or continued in the participating schools. Our follow-up, requesting data on pupil impact led to a variety of returns from project directors. These are currently being reviewed but suggest, anecdotally at least, that Heads You Win has had a positive impact in the participating schools but it will now be the job of CEDAR to try to tease out the extent to which this impact can be directly attributed to Heads You Win. Funded by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation.

The project is directed by Professor Jim Campbell (Warwick Institute of Education) and Professor Geoff Lindsay (CEDAR). Dr Emma Martineau worked on the earlier phase of this project.
