GTC/NUT TEACHER LEADERSHIP: PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE

This one year project will investigate the principles and practice of teacher leadership. It will focus on eight schools where models of teacher leadership are in place. The central aim of the project is to collect empirical evidence about the ways in which teachers function as leaders in schools. This study of teacher leadership will contribute directly to policy and practice. It will also offer contemporary insights into distributed leadership in action.
