WITH: DR STEPHEN HILL AND DR STEPHEN CULLEN
The NOCN/LSC project was a DfES funded project looking at key aspects of OCN-accredited provision by a variety of education and training providers in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Phase 2 of the project consisted of the acquisition of qualitative data through the use of semi-structured interviews with providers, and, where possible, learners, accessing OCN-accredited courses. The foci of the investigation were: educational and occupational progression, the unit-based credit framework, widening participation, quality and quality assurance. Twenty one providers formed the basis of the case studies.
