The Lamb Inquiry was set up by the Secretary of State, Ed Balls to investigate parental confidence in the system for supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs. The inquiry addresses a number of concerns raised by parents and young people with SEN, professionals and policy makers. Led by Brian Lamb, the Inquiry Team also has the benefit of an Expert Advisory Group and a Wider Reference Group. Nick Peacey and Geoff Lindsay are leading a consultancy team with a brief to undertake research to inform the Inquiry. Brian Lamb will report to the Secretary of State in October 2009 and the Lamb Report will then be published.
