The Department for Education is funding the Centre for Professional Education (CPE) to develop and implement training for class teachers and subject leaders in primary schools. The aim is to prepare staff ready for the new curriculum and ready to deliver high quality MFL lessons. We evaluated the programme over the first year. DfE funding was then approved for an extension of the programme, so we are now evaluating the second year.
