I joined CEDAR in July 2014 to be a part of the BEAT-IT project: a randomised controlled trial assessing the effectiveness of a behavioural activation therapy compared to a self-help intervention for people with learning disabilities and depression. In the past I have also conducted and published research in to Lego Therapy for children with Autism, and lead the research and outcome measures countywide for Worcestershire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
Previously, I worked in the Worcestershire Adult Asperger Syndrome Service as an Assistant Psychologist, and in Worcestershire CAMHS also as an Assistant Psychologist. For the past two years I have been involved in running monthly groups for Young Carers, as well as individual support work for individual Young Carers. I completed my BSc (Hons) Psychology at Cardiff University, and my Advanced Diploma in Child and Adolescent Mental Health at the University of Worcester.
