Shakira has been working in secondary education for 17 years, delivering Design, Technology and Engineering in all key stages. She has worked as a Head of department in Warwickshire and has experience of senior leadership. Through the development of coaching models in her roles, she is passionate about working with colleagues to develop good practice in the classroom that allows all learners to reach their potential. Her current role includes mentoring trainee teachers and creating enrichment opportunities for the sixth form. As well as leading the level 3 EPQ qualification.

Shakira has worked with trainee teachers in school for a number of years and has a particular interest in questioning, modelling and behaviour management strategies.
