Sara Snatt - Associate Teaching Fellow

Email: Sara.Snatt@warwick.ac.uk

Sara is a member of the Primary Team. She is a personal tutor and moderation link tutor and teaches on the Whole Curriculum programme.

Sara has taught in primary schools for the last 26 years and still teaches part time. Previous in-school roles include Head of English, Art coordinator and Leading Practitioner. She has also had responsibility for challenging all pupils and for the learning environment.

Whilst teaching, Sara has always led training for colleagues in all of the above, as well as mentoring many students. She has led several in-school projects including:

  • utilisation of University of First Age (UFA) strategies to maximise children’s learning potential
  • using positive strategies to improve classroom behaviour
  • using outstanding teaching interventions to improve staff effectiveness

As English subject lead, she has been instrumental in raising standards through rigorous curriculum interventions. Sara is passionate about building rapport with the pupils she teaches and uses active learning, children’s interests and the outdoor space to engage pupils: she calls this ‘Flearning’ (fun+learning).
