FREE Modern Foreign Languages Resources (MFL)

Over the past two years, CTE ran three MFL courses around French and Spanish. These courses were free and fully funded by the Department for Education (DfE).

The aim of the programmes were to enhance the skills and knowledge of Primary teachers by offering classroom support in French and Spanish through a combination of pre-recorded lectures and live online sessions, delivered by highly experienced local authority advisors and teachers from award-winning schools, Howes Primary School and Tile Hill Wood School and Language College.

Anyone teaching or wishing to teach in Primary schools across the UK were able to participate in these free, online courses. The courses are now finished but the resources are still available for anyone to use.

Assessment & Resources Programme

This course is structured and categorised around the Assessment Matrix and is designed for previous MFL participants or Subject Leaders looking to enhance their skills and knowledge. The collection of resources is now available, free and online and include lesson plans, class room resources and multimedia examples.

MFL ONLINE RESOURCES

The MFL course has now finished; hence it is not possible to sign up any more. However, you can still access all of the content (with the exception of the surveys and the discussion forums) without needing to sign up. If you click on the Primary MFL CPD link at the top right of the screen and then Curriculum from the left hand menu you should see a list of content:

Underneath each of the links is an electure which will play without needing to login and options for downloading transcripts and PowerPoint presentations for the various subjects.

Please ignore the pre-course and post-course survey links as these require login and will not work properly. Also please ignore any links to discussion forums as these will also not work.
