Recognition of Excellence in Secondary Mentoring Nominations

Each year there will be secondary awards for outstanding mentoring. Categories are:

  • Outstanding Subject Mentor
  • Outstanding Professional Mentor

Subject Mentors will be asked to nominate Professional Mentors. As trainees, we are asking you to nominate outstanding Subject Mentors.

Criteria for nomination are:

You can nominate by writing approximately 500 words that demonstrate how the nominee meets the following criteria:

  • Excellent trainee support
  • Excellent subject knowledge and lesson feedback
  • Excellent organisation, knowledge of and innovation in the role

Nominations close on 3 June 2018. University of Warwick staff will shortlist for each award and may choose to award more than one nominee if the number of nominations is particularly large.

Shortlisted nominees will be contacted by the university and asked whether they wish to be considered for the award, at this time each shortlisted nominee will be asked to write a reflective statement of no more than 250 words to be used for publicity and at the award ceremony in the event that they win.

Shortlisted names will be announced at the beginning of the following academic year and final awards presented at the graduation ceremony on 12th October 2018.
