Week 10

End of Term message from Head of the Department

The end of Term 1 is just around the corner and I want to say a very big thank you for the hard work all have put in over this term in supporting the work we do in the Department, which enhances the reputation of the Department and for that I am truly grateful.

I hope that you all get some time to relax over the next few weeks and spend some quality time with those you love and to whom you are closest. Next term our efforts will focus on recruiting both in the junior market, with representatives of the Department visiting Philadelphia from 5-7 January and fly-outs then coming through the Department soon after, and also in the senior market and this is a hugely important activity as we need to ensure the Department is in a strong position for REF2021.

I hope you are all able to join us at the Christmas lunch which is taking place next Wednesday 13th in Cryfield Sports Pavilion.

Professor Jeremy Smith
