Dr Novy discusses what the re-election of Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras means for Europe

Dr Dennis Novy has continued to be featured in media discussing the ongoing situation regarding the Greek elections.

Over the past few months, Dr Novy has been lending his expert opinions to a variety of media stations including BBC News, BBC Radio and a number of other TV and online media. The day before the recent re-election of Alexis Tsipras and the Syriza party for the second time this year, Dr Novy said that:

The Greek economy is on its knees and unemployment is sky-high. Nagging deflation increases the burden of debt. So the stakes could hardly be higher.

He also commented that other European countries will closely watch the Greek election result, and that the Greek election has wider significance for the future and direction of the European project.

Discussing the election, he appeared in live TV interviews on France 24 and Al Jazeera, as well as giving an interview with business magazine ‘European CEO’, where he discussed what the re-emergance of faith in Tsipras means for Europe:
