Warwick Economics is ranked 3rd in the Good University Guide 2019, published by The Times and Sunday Times in September 2018 .
The Good University Guide takes into consideration a number of quality measures, including teaching and research quality, student experience, entry points and graduate prospects. We are pleased to see our scores were particularly high in the area of graduate prospects giving us a total of 99.3%, with only Oxford and Cambridge with higher scores.
4th rank of the Department for research
The Department ranked fourth for GPA x Research Intensity in the most recent Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014).

96% of our research is deemed world leading (4*) and internationally excellent (3*), placing us joint 2nd with the University of Cambridge ahead of LSE and the University of Oxford.
82% overall Student Satisfaction score in the Department
The Department of Economics achieved an overall student satisfaction score of 82% in the National Student Survey 2018 (90% in 2017 and 89% in 2016) which is disappointing this year but the Department is continuing to work into areas to improve this. The highest scores were achieved for ‘Learning Resources’ (89%) and ‘Organisation and Management’ (85%). 88% of our students said that the course was intellectually stimulating and 91% were pleased with access to course specific resources. There have been some pleasing improvements to our students’ perception of the quality of ‘Assessment and Feedback’; we hope to improve on this further in the coming years.
