This paper discusses the myriad uses of deepfakes, for frivolous and fun reasons, as well as the murkier underside of deepfake generation. Using pornography as an example, the paper explores the limited protection available for victims of deepfaking, and emphasises the need to create a personal right which protects individuals and their right to privacy against the harms caused by the creation and distribution of non-consensual sexual imagery' |
