Professor Emilios Christodoulidis 'Social Rights as Social debts'
Professor Emilios Christodoulidis - University of Glasgow will be holding a research seminar on 'Social Rights as Social debts' which will begin with lunch at 12:30 and will start at 1pm in S2.12.
The seminar will be discuss whether social rights are typically understood as demands addressed to the State for social protection against market exposure and market distributions of social costs, does the situation where States are beholden to markets through debt render social rights meaningless?
The presentation will explore some of the implications of austerity for social market constitutionalism.
