Anneliese Hall

Anneliese is a Research Assistant on the Vulnerable State Project. Anneliese’s primary research interests are in zemiology, social justice and vulnerable groups, interests she developed while pursuing an MPhil in Criminological Research at the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Swansea University. As a woman of Caribbean descent, she is particularly passionate about how race and ethnicity can affect a person’s experience of government power and control. Her research has explored topics including the Windrush ‘scandal’, the Grenfell Tower fire and the Hostile Environment policy. Her most recent research at Cambridge was a major qualitative study exploring the experiences of ethnic minority magistrates in the UK.
