Service to the University

As part of my service to the university, the profession and the wider community, I have notably spoken at a number of events organised by the PAIS Widening Participation Officer and the Postgraduate Hub. I have also conceptualised and conducted:

  • a series of workshops focusing on Muslim students' wellbeing during Ramadan (which were implemented annually in cooperation with the Islamic Society, the Postgraduate Hub, the University's Wellbeing Advisor, the Library's Community Engagement as well as a mosque and an Islamic school in Coventry),
  • a creative teaching workshop to share best practice and lessons learned,
  • a co-organised interdisciplinary, exploratory workshop on dealing with difficult research.

Terrorism, Religion and Politics in Pakistan: The Red Mosque in Islamabad. I was invited to chair the panel discussion at this event organised by the United Nations Association Coventry.
