I am an Erasmus Mundus Doctoral Fellow on a joint degree programme at the Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS), University of Warwick, and at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. I began my dissertation in October 2013 after completing my graduate and undergraduate studies at Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. I passed my viva in May 2017 with no corrections.
I am currently working at the Department of Business and Politics, Copenhagen Business School, as a postdoc on the Horizon 2020 research project ENLIGHTEN ("European legitimacy in governing through hard times: the role of European networks"). Click here to read more about the project.
The title of my dissertation is The Contentious Politics of Disruptive Innovation: Vaping and Fracking in the European Union.
I am interested in investigating how disruptive innovation impacts regulatory capacity and process in cases where big, slow-moving, heavily regulated firms enter new, publicly contentious, fast-moving markets. I am looking at the EU-level regulation of hydraulic fracturing (shale gas) and e-cigarettes as examples of this. My research is interdisciplinary in theories and methods and spans the boundaries of international political economy, economic sociology, and transnational regulation.

- The social construction of risk, especially in the areas of the environment and human health
