About me

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Politics and International Studies, researching the aesthetics of terrorism post-9/11 through heterological and symtomatological lenses. My supervisors are Dr Charlotte Heath-Kelly (PAIS) and Professor Oliver Davis (SMLC). Before starting my PhD, I completed a BA in Politics, a PGDip in Analysis and Conflict Resolution (SNSPA), and an MA in International Relations (University of Reading).

Research Interests

  • Aesthetic theories and philosophies of the visual;
  • The phenomena of waste, filth, excess, and degradation in contemporary societies;
  • Poststructuralist and postmodernist critical thought;
  • Critical Security/ Terrorism Studies.
