We are delighted to announce that Sadi Shanaah, a member of our project team, has been appointed by the Commission for Countering Extremism to its newly founded Academic-Practitioner Counter Extremism Network (APCEN). The network, which meets every two months, brings together leading academics in counter-extremism to help align policy, practice and research. Sadi is one of 14 academics that participate in APCEN. The network helps to disseminate existing evidence in the field of counter-extremism as well as expanding the evidence base, identify gaps in the understanding of extremism and counter-extremism and support future research.
