Simon Collinson

Simon Collinson formerly taught at Edinburgh University Management School and prior to that was Assistant Director of the Japanese-European Technology Studies (JETS) institute for 8 years at Edinburgh University, including a period at the National Institute for Science and Technology Policy (NISTEP) in Tokyo. Since joining WBS he has held the role of Associate Dean, Warwick MBA and has been a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the AGSM in Sydney, Australia and the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, USA. He has been awarded research funding from the ESRC, the DTI Industrial Competitiveness Unit, the Royal Society and DGXII of the CEC. Simon Collinson's research interests are in the areas of international business, Japanese and Chinese business practices, global innovation strategies, R&D and knowledge management and global high-technology entrepreneurship. He has research, consulting and executive teaching experience with firms such as British Aerospace, Corus, HSBC, ICI, Nippon Steel, Philips, Prudential, Sony and United Distillers.
