Teaching Fellow in International Political Economy
Advice and Feedback Hours:
ProfileI am a teaching fellow in International Political Economy. I hold a PhD in Cultural Economy from King’s College London. Before joining PAIS I worked as a teaching assistant at King’s, as well as a research assistant for the Policy Institute investigating freedom of expression in UK universities. I received an MSc from the London School of Economics in Contemporary Social Thought (Sociology).
My research interests are in cultural and political economy, specifically concerning student indebtedness and market making practices in the UK. I draw on contemporary developments in the area of economic sociology to challenge current understandings of debt, the state and the market, in the context of austerity governance. I am working to extend my interests more broadly to other forms of indebtedness, and the (im)possibilities they hold temporally.
