MA International Relations 2014
Having had my first degree in business administration, I wanted to look outside the box, so I decided to study a course that would give me a global outlook about what is really going on in the world today and how decisions and policies made on what part of the continent affect the lives of people on the other side of the world, hence my reason for studying international relations. My goal is to truly understand some of the historically complex disputes, alliances and events in the international arena.
I chose to study at the University of Warwick because it provides an excellent opportunity to explore International Relations which draws from politics, history, economics, law, sociology, psychology, philosophy, ethics, and geography, dealing with foreign cultures, languages, worldviews, and values in a serene learning environment. The PAIS department has an excellent reputation in this field. The flexibility of choosing your own modules makes the PAIS department unique and aligns the individual to their personal areas of interest. The professors are very friendly, approachable and helpful in their assessment and feedback mechanism. The live discussion between the tutors and students during seminars enables students to air their views, express themselves and exchange ideas, which is quite fascinating. The seminars also comprise of people from diverse cultures which grants the opportunity of meeting and learning people from all over the world. Indeed, it has been a wonderful and unforgettable time for me at the University of Warwick.
