A Day in the Life of a PAIS PhD Student

Jue Wang, PhD Candidate
Jue Wang

I can confidently say that my experience in PAIS has been inspiring. I have an economics academic background, but it did not prevent me from settling into PAIS because we are all contributing to the multi-disciplinary nature of the department. PAIS is very supportive with regards to teaching, conferences, research programmes, and other research- and career-related opportunities. I particularly enjoy the familial community created by the friendly PAIS staff, post-docs and PhD students, with whom I feel inspired every day through our conversations on both academic and non-academic topics. Someone else might say the PhD experience is isolated and torturous, but I can tell you that I am having a great time here in PAIS.
