Year 1 Philosophy Modules 2023-24

The Philosophy Department run the following first year modules. If you are a Philosophy student, please consult the course handbook for details regarding which modules are core and optional.

Please note the information in the table below will be updated to indicate whether a module is full in the week commencing 18th September. Please check back then and if your desired module is marked as full and you did not pre-register for it, please do not select it on eVision, but add your name to the waiting list.

Seminars will start in week 2 of the term in which the module is taught. You will need to sign-up for seminar groups when this becomes available in Tabula during week 1 of the term in which the module is taught. Please note you must have registered for the relevant module in eMR in order to access the seminar groups in Tabula. It usually takes 24 hours for you to be able to access seminar groups after you have registered on eMR.

The majority of modules listed below are available to all honours level students (in years 2, 3 or 4) regardless of the module code. Any exceptions to this are clearly indicated.
