I'm a doctoral student at the University of Warwick, where I'm working on a thesis on Naïve Realism and Epistemic Warrant under the supervision of Prof. Matthew Soteriou. I hold a BA in Philosophy and an MPhil in Philosophy of Science from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where I also was part of the Associate Students Program in the Institute for Philosophical Research (IIF).
Before coming to Warwick I worked on issues in Epistemology and Philosphy of Science, such as Foundationalist Theories of Epistemic Warrant and Knowledge, the Epistemic significance of Scientific Idealizations and Models in Science, as well as Dogmatist Responses to Skepticism.
In Warwick I'm working on the development of an account of the way in which perceptual experience grounds perceptual knowledge from a naïve realist perspective. I'm particularly interested in building on the insights presented by John Austin in "Sense and Sensibilia", according to which, in certain favourable circumstances, our perceptual knowledge is non-evidentially warranted.
