Alumni profile
“Strictly speaking, there was no academic pathway for me before Warwick. I started my undergraduate studies at Warwick, continued to do an MPhil here, and finally stayed for a PhD.
Doing a PhD at Warwick was an easy choice for me. Some people embrace Warwick, while I was shaped by it. But in a sense, it was the things that are particular to Warwick that philosophically shaped me. There are very few places, especially in the UK, in which one can undertake a committed study in Continental philosophy. Even more difficult is to find a place that would allow a student to work on the philosophical history of Continental philosophy, as I ultimately did, and at the same time consider their topic of research relevant and exciting, rather than trivial and antiquarianistic."
