This module will address central topics in Moral and Political Philosophy. Topics vary from year to year. In the past, the module has focused on democracy and political authority and on theories of practical justification. Each week a class discussion will focus on one or two key contributions. The discussion will be introduced by a student presentation, supported by a prior individual tutorial on that topic with the module tutor. Topics and papers will be selected and allocated at the seminar in the first week of term.
This module is worth 20 or 30 CATS depending on your programme of study.
