More to my Sociology degree?
You are probably wondering if there are things you can do, which are more than just going to the library, seminars or lectures. I have good news, there are several things you can get involved in the Sociology department, for example, the Widening Participation programme, student ambassadors, department talks, you can even fly off to another country or even the other side of the world!
For me, all the opportunities within the department were interesting and exciting, however the absolute highlight of my sociology degree was being involved in the study abroad programme.
I totally suggest it, because it’s amazing! The idea of being involved and immersed in a culture different from the one I had grown up in was one of the main reasons for me to participate in the programme. It truly helps you become more independent and let's you try new activities and things that you may not have the opportunity to do in the UK.Chris Shane Bhatti, Final-year Undergraduate
