30th October 2012

Held in Wolfson Research Exchange, The Library from 2pm - 6:30pm

The symposium was the first of several interdisciplinary events funded by the Institute of Advanced Studies, University of Warwick. These events are intended to link researchers and students at Warwick and beyond who are interested in developing multiple disciplinary perspectives on different aspects of the body, value and work.

The symposium seeks to explore the value of bodies, whether whole or in parts, asking questions like: How do bodies acquire and lose value? How are disaggregated bodies valued? How does the contemporary valuation of bodies articulate with our current neoliberal historical moment?
