Ruth Bernatek
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Ruth Bernatek is an Early Career Researcher and post-doctoral fellow on the Captive Arts project. Her research background is in architectural and urban history and theory with a special focus on the various intersections of sound and the built environment. Ruth’s recent work has addressed sound’s role in the politics of belonging and exclusion in urban areas characterised by high degree of difference, including issues of acoustic justice and the relationship between law, space, and sound.
