Vice-president: Warwick Oxfam Outreach (October 2008- July 2010)

  • University society with 40+ members
  • Supporting the president in leading the executive committee of 8 students
  • Organising fundraising and campaigning events in the university and wider community
  • Coordinating training sessions with Oxfam International
  • Scheduling an academic year of society activities


Forum Team Member: One World Week (October 2009 - March 2010)

  • The world's largest student-run international event, hosted annually at the University of Warwick
  • Aims to promote awareness and understanding of a range of global issues, and encourage positive action
  • Development of talks and educational workshops
  • Responsible for 'What Now? Reengaging with the Developing World Post Crisis' event
  • Liasing with and chaperoning speakers
  • Strong verbal and written communicative abilities and organisational talent


Research Officer: Warwick Amnesty (November 2007 - May 2008)

  • Researching current affairs and Amnesty International campaigns, predominantly using the internet
  • Presentation of findings to groups of 40+ students
  • Coordination of petition signing/letter writing events
  • Production of visual representations of findings to be distributed throughout the society
  • Working with an executive committee of 11 people
