We are delighted you are joining us for the WBS Case Challenge 2017. Please find part one of your challenge along with useful information below.
Part one of the Case (release date Friday 7th April 2017)
Teams are asked to conduct research into the sepsis care pathway (recognition, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and management) in healthcare systems around the world and into the ways in which people, process and technology are being harnessed to improve this pathway. Teams will be asked to complete a full literature review on the topic and present their findings in the form of an A1 poster on the Friday evening. You will be tasked with identifying the impact of sepsis, the key pressure points it causes within healthcare systems, and therefore the current challenges that need to be addressed. Limited background information is provided in the case but the case contains a reading list to kick-start the research process. Dr Ron Daniels has also filmed a full introduction to Sepsis in the videos below.
Part one of the Case Challenge 2017 is now available to download here.
