The last ten years has seen innovations in products and services that would have been unimaginable even 20 years ago. It seems management models and processes have been slower to change. However, major disruptors have emerged from nowhere to challenge long-established monolithic industries which thrived in the era of meritocracy and heirarchy. Think of Hotels & AirBNB, Auto manufacture & Tesla, Entertainment & Netflix + Amazon). There is much more to come, for example blockchain providers disintermediating banking and legal. Every organisation has to continually evolve to respond to it's customers, markets and create new opportunities for itself. Horizon-scanning will only give a glimpse of what's already coming at you. Large organisations need to be smarter & more agile. Uncomfortable as it may feel, leadership needs to adapt to a world of 'adhocracy'.

This special KIN Quarterly Workshop will address these issues and more.

Our keynote speaker is Julian Birkinshaw, Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship; Academic Director of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the London Business School. We will have two case-studies from organisations that have demonstrated significant change from innovation programmes; Jo Bowen, from the College of Policing and Lesley Parker from Severn Trent Water. We will also run an experiential learning exercise Design Thinking for Innovation. This will be run by https://treehouseinnovation.com/

In the evening, we will be hosting a drinks reception and Innovation Showcase, followed by our keynote speaker, Tony Corkett, Head of Strategic partnerships at Google's Deepmind.

The event is taking place at Warwick Business School's space on the 17th floor of the amazing Shard building on London's South Bank.
