Kotter's famous Harvard Business School research* put ineffective communication as the 4th highest reason that change programmes don't achieve success. That was back in 1995 and things have only become more complex. More recently, a study by Robert Half Research** suggests that most organisations undergo major change about once every three years. An estimated 70% of change programmes fail.
