Four new scholarships in the humanities 2016-17

With thanks to the Wolfson Foundation and our alumni

The University of Warwick has been selected to host three new Wolfson Postgraduate Scholarships in the Humanities, and a fourth scholarship will be generously funded by alumni and friends too.

The Wolfson Foundation seeks to support excellence. Drawing on its history of support for higher education and interest in the humanities, the Foundation is continuing its programme of postgraduate scholarships for 2016-17.

The Scholarships will be available in three disciplines that align closely with the Foundation's interests: history, literature and languages. Warwick is one of nine universities to receive scholarships based on Research Assessment Exercise scores, and average number of Arts and Humanities Research Council postgraduate awards.

The selected doctoral students will be expected to have an outstanding academic record, usually a first class honours degree at undergraduate level, and a Master's degree from a recognised university in a cognate field of study to their proposed doctoral research.
