Policy Seminar
Rethinking EU Equality Law: Towards a More Coherent and Sustainable Regime - Exploring the Alternatives
Tuesday 17 October - 08.45 - 13.15, Brussels
The University of Warwick and University of Southampton Law Schools hosted their second seminar at the University of Warwick Brussels Office on 17 October 2017. This was a forum to discuss specific policy proposals (made in our draft policy paper and brief) for adapting the current EU equality legislative and policy frameworks, to improve their feasibility and encourage their adoption.
The seminar opened with keynotes by MEP (Greens) Jean Lambert and the European Commission's Monika Ladmanová. Invited speakers included European Commission officials, representatives of civil society, trade unions, a range of NGOs, and EU law academics.
For more information please contact either Dr Sara Benedi Lahuerta (Southampton Law School) and Dr Ania Zbyszewska (Warwick Law School).
